Lemoenskloof Wine Farm

Banhoek Valley Stellenbosch

Manor House & Cottages Renovation and Extension

The farm is positioned on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountain and is crossed by the old route connecting Stellenbosch to Franschhoek.

We wanted the house to blend and disappear within the surrounding landscape. The old trees and existing mountain stream became important features of the house.

The ground floor  existing thick external structural walls have been restored in order maintain it’s natural insulation properties while a new 1st floor and underground wine cellar were added.

The majority of all existing timber floors, rafters and joist were re-utilised in within the new structure and surrounding landscape design.
